High Down Schools Parent, Staff Association is a friendly  group of parents and staff who support the school by holding a variety of fundraising events and activities throughout the school year, to raise vital funds for the school. The PSA is a registered charity, with the charity trustees voted in each year.

Our aims are to:

• Advance the education of the pupils in the school, by purchasing items that school may not otherwise be able to afford 

• Organise events that the children can become involved in and enhance both their development and enjoyment.

Funds have historically been used to provide new classroom equipment and resources - such as the explorer dome, playground apparatus, theatre trips and a host of other fun experiences.   Our events and fundraisers include discos, movie nights, Christmas and Summer fairs, we’ve also arranged for a full sized circus to perform at the school, as well as Graffarty sessions, wreath making and Easter hunts to name a few. 

More recently we have set up a party pack loan scheme (email us at highdownpsa@gmail.com) and a pre-loved uniform website https://app.uniformd.co.uk/items/high-down-schools-psa and we have a partnership with Stikins Labels which are an essential for all clothing, bags, bottles etc, just enter our reference 9536 at checkout  https://www.stikins.co.uk

Termly meetings are held in the first week of each term to discuss the upcoming events and vote on any spending requests.  All parents and staff are welcome to attend PSA meetings as they provide an ideal opportunity to have a direct influence on current and proposed spending projects. A whole-school community and voice is important to us! It’s a great opportunity to meet new people as well.

We are always looking for more volunteers so if you can help in any way at all, whether that means sticking labels on envelopes in the comfort of your own home, or manning a stall at a fair, we would love to hear from you!
