Music at High Down

Music is an important and much-loved part of life at High Down. We are proud to offer our children the opportunity to learn a wide variety of musical instruments, giving them the chance to discover new interests, develop their skills and grow in confidence through music.

Our children can access individual instrumental lessons across a range of instruments, supported by specialist music teachers. We are delighted to see so many pupils developing their musical talents and enjoying the opportunities that learning an instrument brings.

We are also extremely proud of our school orchestra, which brings together children of different ages and abilities to make music together. Being part of the orchestra encourages teamwork, commitment and confidence, while giving children the opportunity to share their musical achievements with the wider school community.

Instrumental music lessons at High Down have now moved to the West of England Music Alliance online booking and direct billing system.
